World of Echo Like just about all jazz out of Chicago, it's fantastic. This is some top-notch post-bop from some dude you've probably never heard of (I hadn't). Since there's no liner notes, and the cover is seemingly the word quartet drawn in crayon (?), part of me almost wonders if this was uploaded on a whim--if so, I thank the music gods, because this is, again, top-notch. (But maybe Pierson was going for a Chicago Underground Quartet-type cover? I could see that. Anyhoo, the music speaks for itself.)
